Hi Friend!

Hey y’all, I was born and raised a farm girl in the middle of Kansas. Yes, a bit like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Hard work that was never done has always been a part of my life. That’s why I knew when God blessed me with children, I wanted to stay home and focus on raising them. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to so. One thing I realized is how the nights could seem so long when they are little, but the years fly by so quickly. As mine approach school age, I am struggling with my own identity. What am I going to do with my hands and my thoughts when I don’t have the kiddos at my feet all day, everyday? I’m sure most of you can relate. It’s a wierd, scary transition. I know I can’t just stay home all day, for my sanity, I need some activity outside of the home. Though I don’t want anything else to become so consuming that it takes away from the healthy and loving environment for my family. I do know that whatever may come, I need to understand that my own mental health and knowing who I am in Christ will enrich my self esteem, my relationships, and BONUS, create a healthier environment for my family. I know it is a journey and a process in discovering who I am beyond the roles that I have as a wife and mother.
